College

Here's something that I think you should know.

As a instructor in higher education, I think we approach it incorrectly.

I mean, the old way of thinking of college as a way of starting a career seems antiquated. Except for careers that require a very particular skill set, college is not a training ground for workers.

In addition, the average American will change careers over four times in their lifetimes. Sometimes in related careers and sometimes in entirely new fields. It appears to me that we need to prepare our students for the inevitable changes that will occur in their lifetimes.
